Through a well balanced diet, including A2 milk, his life was changed. There were many studies with conflicting information online, but Byrne knew immediately that there was something to A2 milk. The only barriers were, it was hard to find, very expensive, and ultra pasteurized which meant it was treated at very high temperatures. After moving to El Paso, many his friends and employees reported that they were “lactose intolerant”.

GH Dairy took matters into its own hands by having our family and friends try A2 milk. “We were ecstatic to hear all of the people that couldn’t digest regular milk had no issues with the A2 milk. We felt it was our duty to do something about it and start making fresh, local milk and make it so everybody could afford it,” Byrne said. GH Dairy launched Sarah Fresh A2/A2 milk. For years, Byrne has loved the Texas Hill Country and felt it was just like home. In 2025, Byrne and his family bought a small ranch in Dripping Springs, TX. He discovered that while there was A2 milk available, it was in short supply and was very expensive. Byrne and Hettinga knew what needed to be done and Dripping Springs Dairy was born.
